My son, only a few hours old, meets his sisterToday is my son’s birthday.

8 years ago, he was born in Rhode Island, then he moved to the Netherlands, to Florida and now he’s in Texas.

He wants to know when he can go to Japan, like his sister.

That’s my boy; keep hearing the song of the open road. :)

Thanks Elliott,

The years do indeed fly by, and I need to get better at “mindfully” enjoying them instead of wishing that we would hurry up and get past certain stages.

Congratulations indeed, Sheila, and savor these years to their fullest. All too soon, you’ll be watching your kids drive off to wherever. (Or in our case, moving our 16-year old into her dorm at UNT–she’s in the TAMS program, too, like her 19 -yr-old brother, now a jr. at UT, studying hydrogeology engineering!)

y’all both have a most excellent day,

Mike

Thanks Mike, Linda and Min, for stopping by and for your good wishes.

I guess now I’ll need to give my daughter her own post later this month, when it’s HER birthday!
