Hi Monica,

Thanks very much for visiting; I took a "coffee break" on your blog and enjoyed the Missouri photos.

Amish stores DO smell divinely homey....

My dad was born in Jamesport. My grandma lived in a nearby town while I was growing up and visited the Amish store often to buy spices. I recently walked into an Amish store for the first time in years, and the smell of the store immediate made me think of my grandma's kitchen.
