A few interesting notes from around the travel Web:

  • The Dutch (including possibly the Queen) take to the canals in the Netherlands - it’s finally frozen enough to skate!
  • Are you a New Orleans expert? Help National Geographic Traveler’s Janelle Nanos plan her trip there.

Thanks for the great information. I had no idea people would skate on the canals — you never know…

If the canals freeze more often it might be as much a draw as Ottawa’s canals are.

Another usefull note: Now its possible to compare prices on flights and European trains in one search. The travel search engine Momondo has introduced this cool feature and it is planning on including American and Asian trains too.

Families thinking about a summer getaway to Cape Cod or Martha’s Vineyard can find some tips on a website/blog we started after staying at the Martha’s Vineyard Family Campground last summer.

Few folks know there is a campground on the Vineyard and it is a huge value and a great place.
