Normally I would have the entries neatly organized by continent, but, well, there seems to be some sort of festive holiday today that demands my attention….

We’ll take some time off next week, so the Carnival will skip posting next Wednesday (hey, it’s Christmas Eve) and will resume with all qualified submissions - one post per blog, about ONE single city - on Wednesday, December 31, for a New Year’s Eve blowout edition.

Carnival of Cities resceduled on UpTake

For those who sent in their blog posts to the November 19 UpTake-hosted edition of the Carnival of Cities, and then wondered what cliff they seem to have fallen off of….

Between me in China and key UpTake people at the PhoCusWright08 travel conference, last week was rather a vast wasteland of craziness, so we weren’t able to get the edition up, and I do apologize.

Here’s the plan: we still have all of your submissions, and I’m going to work with UpTake to post them Wednesday, Dec 3rd instead; I’ve looked them over and very few are time-sensitive.

Is your city in the Featured Carnival?

I’m pleased to announce that the Carnival of Cities (blog carnival) will be a “Featured Carnival” on the main Blog Carnival Web site all day on Wednesday, September 24, 2008.

Since there are now (as of today) 23,304 editions of 5194 blog carnivals, with 224 new carnivals started in the past 30 days, it is certainly an honor to be singled out for recognition!
