It was a great weekend covering the Samsung 500 NASCAR race weekend for Motorsport.com, but reality has set in.
Someone must get to the grocery store and take care of household matters.
Sainted Husband is a teacher at the end of a grading/marking period, with statewide academic standards testing looming ahead.
You know what that means; a lot of papers and extra work to do.
Since I was at drag strip one weekend and the race track the next, domestic duties cry out for attention (not that I’m very domestic at all, but the kids DO need to eat, I suppose.)
So, I’m going to unplug a bit for today and “get a life,” if only temporarily.
Back tomorrow!

When I lived in CA, I used the grocery delivery service. Now in MI I no longer have that luxury and your fridge is full compared to mine! I guess we’re both off to do some shopping.
I guess Domino’s can only go so far.
There was some discussion on Twitter some time back about online grocery services. I’ll have to dig that up (I believe Connie Reece wrote about it).
I love Smart Start butter. Yum. However, it does need some bread or something to go with it. Tummy rumbles.
I was out of town for work Sun/Mon. I’m heading to the grocery store today, too!!

** Karen Swim - when I start making better scratch as a writer/speaker/consultant, you can bet that food delivery will find a place in my budget!
** Ontario Emperor - well, I do have Dominos in my cell phone book already. Kinda pathetic. I do remember the Twitter string with Connie Reece, but think it was a general discussion & didn’t discuss specific services in my area.
** Kami Huyse - so butter right out of the container is kinda gross?
** Kara Williams - I got it all done, but got the bagger from hell at the store; he would NOT stop making inane chatter all the way out to the car. I mean, I’m a friendly gal, but was just mentally toast yesterday and didn’t feel like chat. Plus, while he was yakking, the bagging process was somewhat random (stray stuff wasn’t bagged at all - not sure where his head was.) Oh well, I should find something really important to fuss about!
It’s so hard to find time to do everything that you want to. I often feel frustrated that I have to stop working on my travel business to go grocery shopping, cook, do housework etc but we do need to eat and wear clean clothes.
In some ways it can even be good to get a break from sitting at the computer.
Hi Karen, You’re right, I do get so caught up in work (because I enjoy it) that when I do get out of the house, I think, “Oh, yeah, the rest of the world is out here.”
