Hi Michael,

Thanks very much for the tip; book festivals seem to be catering more and more to young readers, which is great.

Charlottesville, VA has an annual "Festival of the Book" every spring. The next one is March 26-30, 2008. It features 300 authors and there is always children's events.

The city is home to Monticello, the home of Thomos Jefferson, the beautiful University of Virginia and plenty of other things to do. Plus, Charlottesville is full of blooming trees that time of year. It's just gorgeous.
