Now, I don’t want you to miss a minute of this, even though we’re two weeks out; circle Saturday, April 29th, from 11:00 a.m. until dark, for the 43rd annual Eeyore’s Birthday Party at verdant Pease Park in Austin, Texas. Concerts, costumes, drum circles, maypoles, a children’s area….and all for free!
What, you didn’t know that the morose Pooh character has his own central Texas celebratory moment each year?
They say it’s to raise money for non-profits, but it’s also another Keep Austin Weird excuse to party for no particular reason other than it’s spring and Eeyore needs cheering up and, like candidate for governor Kinky Friedman’s campaign slogan, “Why the Hell Not?”

Hi Hannah,
Yes, I liked it as well. It came from the Austin Convention and Visitor’s Bureau. Glad to know a bit more about the artist.
Thanks, Sheila
