Another idea my boyfriend has used on our trips is to buy a shot glass from every city we visit on the trip. If the city has something famous (world's largest harley davidson store in daytona...) we'd stop there for the glass. Otherwise, they are easy to find in gas stations and boutiques and they have the city's name on them. The collection ends up small and easy to display. The best part: they are usually only a few dollars a piece.

Hi Claggers,

Thanks very much, I looked at the site and they do have some wonderfully imaginative prints. Thanks also for the update on the Transport Museum and Covent Garden shop.

Sadly, I'm one of those folks who sometimes just wants to go to the museum shop rather than the museum :) but in this case it's not my fault; the museum's closed!

Best wishes, Sheila

There's a great range of souvenirs from a company called Tosh, based in the UK but increasingly available all over the world. They do these really cool little artworks that weigh no more a few ounces and fit into even the tightest case or backpack. Bright, colorful and great for the whole family - we bought six in NYC. They also do great fridge magnets and postcards. Their website is www.tosh.tv

FYI the Transport Museum in London is closed until at least March 2007 - but their shop is still open at the Covent Garden market. You can buy Tosh stuff there too.
