		<description>yes, traveling with kids can be richly rewarding, or downright punishing. My wife and I took our son to Colorado when he was 6 months, no problem. Tried again the following year, turned around in Red River, NM. Thought we&#039;d do some day trips instead. Halfway through the tour of delightful Natural Bridge Caverns, Mr. 18-month-old began howling, didn&#039;t stop until I exited the cave, well ahead of the tour. That was it for THAT summer.

Luckily, I can report that both our kids, now 16 &amp; 19, are seasoned travelers. We have a number of great family trips to Big Bend, Caddo Lake, Port A, Seattle, Portland, Bend, Eugene and the Netherlands to recall. Don&#039;t let one trip from hades put you off!</description>
