Carnival of Cities for 28 January 2009
I normally sort these neatly by city and continent, but time’s a bit short today, so we’re gonna “go ugly.”
I’m excited to announce that next week (the Feb 4 edition) will be hosted by the fab Caitlin at Roaming Tales. She’s London-based, folks, so the normal Tuesday noon deadline means noon GMT, or a lot earlier than usual if you’re a US blogger.
Jack Norell presents 2 great breakfasts spots in London posted at Eyeflare – Travel Articles and Tips, saying, “The first and most important meal of the day, breakfast, becomes even more important when you’re traveling. For some fantastic breakfast food, visit these two London cafes for a treat.”
Silicon Valley Blogger presents Small Business Startup Funding In Silicon Valley Dries Up posted at The Digerati Life, saying, “Some news on Silicon Valley’s venture capital situation.”
Janelle Nanos presents Photo Gallery: Your Washington posted at Intelligent Travel Blog, saying, “Intelligent Travel asked its readers to submit favorite photos of Washington, DC to be included in our Inauguration Guide to DC.”
Catherine Bardrick presents Underrated Uruapan – Viva Obama! posted at Small Fish in the Big Taco, saying, “We all have that experience when we travel and arrive in a place and instantly think …get me out of here… this is ugly, boring, depressing, ordinary… but every place is worth a close second look to yield up its treasures…check out underrated Uruapan in Mexico that clearly fits into this category…”
Dominique King presents Cars star at North American International Auto Show posted at Midwest Guest, saying, “Cars star at 2009 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, and isn’t that the way it should be? My take on this year’s show and its promise for the future.”
Christine presents Limited to 20 Euro ATM Withdraws in France from US Bank, Why? (Strasbourg, France) posted at Me, My Kid and Life: An American Single Mom Living in France.
Caitlin Fitzsimmons presents Photo Friday: Vigelandsparken posted at Roaming Tales, saying, “The Vigelandsparken with its fantastical statues is of the most famous tourist attractions in Oslo, Norway. Photo post.”
Kara Williams presents Kid-friendly Omni Parker House, Boston, Massachusetts posted at Lodging.
That concludes this edition, and thanks for visiting.
