Become a Family Travel Logue fan on Facebook

Are you active on Facebook?

When I’m wearing my Web 2.0 teacher hat over at Every Dot Connects, people often ask me how to get started in social media without getting completely overwhelmed.

I tell them to establish a professional profile on LinkedIn (here’s mine) and go play on Facebook.

There are three places on Facebook where I’d love to see my readers come by and say hello:

  • If you want to see how I consult and teach about Web 2.0/social media, visit the Every Dot Connects Facebook page –  it’s kind of our “digital storefront” and there is always plenty of free parking.

Thanks for “friending.”

You know I am your fan everywhere. Earth. Mars. Facebook. You name it.

That said, I’ve had a t-e-r-r-i-b-l-e time with my own Facebook page. RSS feed applications that won’t update with the new FB. Updates don’t seem to go on my fans’ feeds. Total obscurity really unless you count the viral effect of people fanning you.

I’d love to hear about it if you have a different experience. Fanning you now!

Awww, thanks, Jamie!

I’ve had some feed problems as well, and haven’t really investigated the “new” Facebook setup yet to make myself more familiar with how they reorganized everything.

Little stuff makes me nuts, like I can share a link on one type of FB page but can’t seem to do it on another without fat-fingering in the HTML.

See you on Mars!
