My article on great botanical gardens for kids is now online at education.com, so I thought I’d feature a photo from one of the gardens I mentioned, in Chicago with a fresh blanket of snow.

The article also discusses gardens in Brooklyn, St. Louis, Atlanta and Huntington CA.

Hi Mrs. Mecomber,

Thanks; if you click it you’ll go to the flickr page where I found it, and you can see other stuff by the same photographer.

I bet that snow looks familiar to someone like you, in upstate New York. :)

Hi Sean,

Thanks very much; I’m starting to get into the “gardening thing” a bit more so it was an outgrowth of that. My grandmother gardened and my Dad’s a Master Gardener.

I grow, um, marigolds really well….
