Yes, folks, it is true. You can buy those attractive Crocs shoes for your kids all over the world (I picked up this flyer in Shanghai.)

Then again, I’m not sure that this is a good thing….

Not surprising, Crocs are everywhere these days. They might not be the most attractive footwear in the world but they’ll do the job when your desperate.

Hi Rovinj, Yes, my son has a pair and loves them. They’re not expensive and are fairly indestructible so I’m fine with it. I know that many consider my favorite Dansko clogs pretty ugly, too! :)

And don’t get me started on Ugg boots, currently in high fashion. We used to tease people on my ships who bought those during Navy port visits in Australia, and now they’re everywhere. C’est la vie.

If they’re “made in Chine” those are not original Crocs for sure.. Like a year ago, in a village close to Shanghai I saw “Crocs” for $1-5, they looked just the same but they were much heavier.
